This is the section where everything that we couldn't get in anywhere else goes.  There is some really cool stuff in here and some EXCELLENT reference materials.  If you are going to be traveling long-term our "Stats" are interesting as they give a VERY accurate account as to how much traveling can be involved, hours, distances, types of transport.  Also our accommodation rankings provide an excellent tool if you are going to be passing through any of the places we have.  We took the time to score each hotel, guesthouse and hostel, even ranking them based off a formula for their value for money.  There are handy links to any that actually have a website.  Don't forget to read our top 10 and bottom 10 and you will know where to go or where NOT to go when you are next passing through any of those places.  Finally we have ranked our favourite 10 and least favourite 10 places on Earth that we have visited based off scoring set criteria.

For those more interesting in the more emotional touchy-feely version of events we have included that side of things as well.  So enjoy this section and we hope you find some use from it.
  • Statistics
    Here are our statistics from this trip.  How far we have travelled, what transport methods we have tried, how far on each type of transport....these kind of things.
  • Accommodation
    Here you can find our complete list of accommodation with ranking based on a huge number of factors, including:

    Location in relation to interesting sites
    Comfort (extra seating, bed, sofa, carpet, etc)
    Cleanliness
    Space (shoebox or palace)
    Facilities (internet, kitchen, restaurant, pool, gym, cableTV, AC/Heating)
    Staff (Basil Fawlty or angels?)
    Aspect (are we looking at the Andes or the rubbish bins)
    Social (what is the interaction with other guests like)
    Quality of bathroom (clean, private, shower/bath, size, etc)
    Quality of sleep (bed, noise, etc)

    All these factors are then compared to the price and we rank accordingly.  This list is huge.  Check out the Accommodation Statistics.

    We have also reviewed our favouite 10 and least favourite 10 based off our emotions as well.  Sometimes these match the stats, other times not...so check them out as well.

    This is where you will find our statistics for all the places we visited.  They have been scored on the following:

    Food (very important)
    People (were we warmly greeted or where they thinking "not more gringos")
    Buildings (we love a nice old building, but we also like glass and steel, concrete however....)
    Cleanliness (are we negotiating human life or thinking about eating off the floor)
    Air Quality (is Justin having an asthma attack?)
    Attractions (The Hermitage or just pottery?)
    Open Spaces (Is there a nice green space to get to easily)
    Accommodation (just the one hovel or a row of glistening options for all pockets?)
    Transport (are we walking or is the bus service astounding?)
    Shopping (is Zoe by Justin's side looking glum or has she got her face pressed against the glass of EVERY shop)
    Safety (Sao Paulo or the Gilis)
    Character (that undefinable feeling...will I remember this place?)
