When we were researching our travels there were quite a few websites we referred to for more information. This list is NOT definitive, but there are some true gems in here.

	Outdoorsmagic is THE place to go if you have any interest in outdoors activities of ANY kind. With an excellent database of public reviews, competitions, a bustling forum and much more it can be a great place to wear away the time until you can next get your rucsac on and get out there.
	The man in seat Sixty-One is THE definitive GLOBAl reference for rail travel. If there is a worthwhile journey this man has done it. If there is a train line then this man has probably been down it. When planning our trip he was THE most useful source of information, often being more up to date than some countries ONW rail web-sites.
	These people helped shape SO much of what we do when we are hiking and wild camping. There is more to this than you think and we needn't repeat because their web-site is nice as well. So if you are interested in the technical side of hiking and wildcamping then head over here.
	Snow and Rock has to have been THE most consistently helpful and well stocked outdoors retailer in the UK when we were looking for our equipment. We purchased well over £1,000 worth of clothing and technical equipment from these people and they were ALWAYS happy to help.
	When we were shopping for equipment there were 3 main high-street retailers. There is the budget Milletts which is fine if you are planning on going to a festival or are going to be camping at a well run campsite, but not so good if you are planning anything serious. There is Blacks who can be cheaper if they have the item you want in stock and then thre is Cotswold, probably the best of the bunch. Well stocked, good equipment and reasonable prices. As with the other high-street retailers advice can be of a varied quality.
	If you are clear about what you want and these people have it then it will probably be the cheapest deal around. So don't forget them when you are doing your supply run. We bought our tent through these people.
